Each of Ohio's regions has its own unique characteristics, building an economically and geographically diverse state.
Anchored by Ohio's major metropolitan areas, the state is comprised of geographic regions with specific industry strengths and resources. Within these regions are many business friendly, affordable micropolitan areas. The U.S. Census Bureau defines a micropolitan city as a community with 10,000 to 50,000 people that has a largely self-sustaining local economy.
Ohio ranks No. 1 in the nation for number of attractive micropolitans for capital investment, according to a new report by Site Selection Magazine, one of the nation's leading location assistance publications.
