Ohio's museum system takes advantage of the state's role in historic trends as well as hosting traditional artwork. Some of Ohio's unique exhibition halls include:

Ohio also has a thriving private gallery districts in its major cities, including Columbus' Short North and Cleveland's Lakewood, while Cincinnati hosts the popular auction site Cincinnati Art Galleries. Ohio's smaller cities make their own substantial contributions to the state's gallery network, such as Athens, Oberlin and Yellow Springs.
