Ohio has a multitude of natural beauty that provides a diverse backdrop for all kinds of outdoor activity. Ohio offers:

Top-ranked parks
Ohio State Parks
have been recognized as the nation's best – a 74-park system including high-end resorts and back-to-nature camping with every outdoor activity imaginable. The state park system is complemented by extensive regional and local parkland and recreation agencies that preserve Ohio's natural resources and provide places for sports, green space and contemplation for current and future generations.

Hiking
Ohio's southwest Hocking Hills region, part of the Wayne National Forest, offers some of the top hiking opportunities at the convergence of nine state parks. With convenient personal lodging plentifully available, the region is one of the state's most popular getaway spots.

Skiing
Six ski resorts are distributed throughout north central and Northeast Ohio, taking advantage of Ohio's lake effect snow belt and a climate suitable for automated snowmaking. Ski season in Ohio traditionally runs from December through March.

Water sports
Eight Ohio counties including the major cities of Cleveland and Toledo front Lake Erie, but that's just the beginning of Ohio's extensive waterway system. Inland lakes, rapid-to-calm rivers and streams and reservoirs are accessible throughout Ohio.

World class golf
Ohio boasts over 800 quality public and private courses across the state, with eight of them ranked in Golf Digest's Top 100.
