The Cincinnati USA region in Southwest Ohio is home to nine Fortune 500 global headquarters and 300 foreign-owned firms. The region’s key industries include aerospace, motor vehicle and parts manufacturing, bioscience, brand design & creative services, corporate and professional services, and consumer goods.

Among Cincinnati USA’s Ohio’s many notable companies, the region is home to the headquarters of consumer product developer and manufacturer Procter & Gamble, which employs 14,000 total people in Ohio. The region is also home to Macy’s, the country’s largest department store and the Kroger Co., America’s largest traditional grocery store chain. Headquarter operations for major corporations such as Fifth Third Bancorp, American Financial, Western & Southern Financial and Ohio Casualty Group demonstrate the region’s strength as a corporate and professional services center.

The region’s bioscience economy consists of more than 220 businesses involved in the research, testing and production of pharmaceutical, medical, and agricultural products. The Genome Research Institute, a world-class research center dedicated to the discovery and early development of novel and commercially viable therapeutic applications. Located at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, the Wright Center of Innovation’s Center for Computational Medicine is a partnership with micro-technology industry leaders.

The Cincinnati USA region offers diverse educational opportunities with area colleges and universities, conferring degrees ranging from associate to doctorate in a broad range of subjects. Vocational schools also offer excellent adult education programs, which create a diversified labor force that offers businesses qualified, skilled workers.

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is among the top airports in the United States for direct transatlantic flights. It also provides same-day service to over 70 cities in the U.S. The airport is only 15 minutes from downtown Cincinnati and less than 30 minutes from most of our county locations. Interstates, rail and the Ohio River system also offer transportation options to growing companies.

Cincinnati USA offers an outstanding variety of cultural and recreational events as well as numerous entertainment and major attractions. The region is home to two professional sports teams, over 100 museums and galleries including the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Contemporary Arts Center, parks, golf courses, and other major recreational and leisure amenities. You'll also find excellent and affordable housing in suburban or city living in almost any setting imaginable.

Recent Notable Capital Investments

  • Amylin Pharmaceuticals - $400 million capital investment, including the creation of 500 new jobs to manufacture the company’s long-acting release formulation of exenatide, which is being developed to treat Type-2 diabetes.
  • Medpace, Inc. - $23 million investment, including the creation of 792 new jobs and the retention of 508 existing jobs for the expansion of the company’s Cincinnati operation, which includes drug development services and comprehensive clinical research support to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • TaTa Consultancy Services - 200,000 square foot software development and delivery center, including the creation of 1,000 new jobs.
  • dunnhumby - $15 million expansion, including the creation of 200 new jobs and the retention of 300 existing jobs.
  • Humana - $8 million investment, including the creation of 335 new jobs.
  • Home Depot Distribution Center - $35 million investment, including the creation of 500 new jobs.
